Taro Fields in the Hanalei Valley & Stop at Anahola Beach

Last weekend we went on a trip to Hanalei with my parents and Sean’s mom Trish and Merrill. The weather was really bad but we managed to make a nice day up there strolling around the city and looking at the beautiful Taro fields. Taro is a root vegetable that is one of Kauai’s first agricultural products. The fields in the Hanalei valley are very beautiful with a patchwork of different colors.

On the way back home we stopped at Anahola Beach. This beach is tucked away and hidden from the main highway and is mostly visited by locals. The sand is very nice and in the background you can see beautiful mountains.
